Foam Fabricators
Foam fabricators are manufacturers that produce a wide variety of foam and foam products. In this context, foam is a polymer-based material created when manufacturers froth up a molten polymer material and then cool it down while it is still in this state. Polymer foam is lightweight and full of bubbles that give it a sponge-like appearance.

Applications for Foam Fabrication
Many applications call for the services of foam fabricators. Examples of foam applications include: insulation, cushioning, sealing, filtration, absorption and more. Foam products are common in industries such as: healthcare, food and beverage, construction, furniture, shipping, acoustics and cleaning. There, they exist as products like: mats, food coolers, packaging, soundproofing panels, air filters, surgical sponge, foam inserts, gaskets, seating pads, memory foam mattresses and pillows, and cleaning sponges.
The Process of Foam Fabrication
To make foam, foam fabricators use a variety of different polymer materials. Regardless of their material composition, manufacturers create and work with two main types of foam: closed-cell foam and open-cell foam. Closed cell foam is made up of cells that are separate from one another because they are sealed. Closed-cell foam has high compressive strength and is incredibly dense. Meanwhile, open-cell foam is made up of broken cell walls. Open-cell foam soft, spongy and lightweight.
