Bagging Machines

Because of the wide variety of products that are shipped or sold in bags, and because of the wide variety of industrial, commercial and consumer products in which such products are bought and sold, there is a large, varied need for bagging machines. Bags can be used to contain all kinds of different products. Consumer products in particular are often shipped and sold in bags. These products range from photo paper to breakfast cereal. Any consumer product that requires assembly by the consumer must be packaged and shipped in a way that will make assembly easy for its buyer. For this reason, many such products are organized into several separate bags, especially in the case of products that involve several small parts, such as fasteners. In most cases, employing workers to fill these bags by hand can be inefficient and uneconomical. Instead, companies can employ bagging machines, which can both fill and seal bags automatically. Because bags are so widely used as a packaging material, bagging machines are among the most widely used packaging machinery.

Bagging machines can easily bag sixty items per minute, saving companies money that they would otherwise spend on slower manual labor. In the case of granulated, flaked or free-flowing materials, this number can be much larger. Bagging machines are used in almost every kind of manufacturing industry. Bags are available in various sizes to fit objects from small components and tools to large appliances. Most bagging machines use plastic bags of one form or another, though packaging bags can be made out of a variety of materials; a few examples include paper, wax paper and burlap. Although they can be made out of many materials, most packaging bags are plastic. Polyethylene and polypropylene are two plastic resins frequently used in the production of plastic bags. In addition to their general flexibility and durability, plastic bags are waterproof and chemically resistant. Some plastic bags are antistatic; this bagging material is popular when sensitive electronics are involved. As long as industrial, commercial and consumer products are shipped and sold in bags, there will be a need for bagging machines.
