Load Pins

Load pins are a great way to measure certain loads in a number of different applications and industries, in fact they are some of the simplest and one of the most reliable methods available. These pins are often used as a replacement for pivot pins or clevis pins as they offer a number of advantages that other load sensors do not. Load pins are great for so many applications because they are able to withstand a lot of hazardous elements and can even operate in some of the most difficult environments including offshore and subsea environments. Load pins are commonly used in applications with brake anchors, rope, chains, bearing blocks, pivots, sheaves, shackles and other similar objects. The load pin works as it senses the force that is being applied to it, it senses the force through strain gauges which are installed in the center of the pin.
