Label Tube Design and Customization
One of the main benefits of these types of tubes is its adaptability to using different materials (e.g., tube types, sizes, and labeling mediums). The customization for these tubes is endless, customers may utilize any type of paper tubes and may design their own labels in accordance with the finished output that they desire. The labeling materials for these tubes (e.g.litho, semi-gloss, high gloss paper, foil, and fluorescent paper) are widely available and versatile due to the fact that these are also commonly used for other applications. Other than external improvements, and depending on customer requirements, these label tubes may also be lined with materials that will make it food-grade, grease-proof, and water-resistant.
Manufacturing Process of Label Tubes
To be able to add custom prints to a label tube, custom printed stock papers are wrapped in the tube itself, which is done by an automatic paper tube labeling machine. They are not printed on the tube itself. The printed paper will be rolled, then pressed to adhere to the tube’s surface with two contact rollers. The material selection for the labels and glues to be used will depend on its application, whether in the food, manufacturing, or the consumer industry. These tubes are often coated with scratch-resistant aqueous coatings to maintain their quality in the long run. Finally, miscellaneous, or secondary processes, may be done according to the manufacturer or customer demand. These processes are embossing, stamping, the addition of gloss UV, and metallic ink.
