Relocatable Buildings

Relocatable buildings are portable, modular and temporary constructions that provide an inexpensive option to building permanent structures. Since these buildings have no foundation and are lightweight, they are able to be transported from one place to another as necessary. They are mostly prefabricated in a factory and constructed on an assembly line. Relocatable buildings may be set up either outdoors or within another building. The construction, military, agricultural, manufacturing, education, disaster relief and medical industries use these portable buildings for a number of transitory or short-term applications. Sheds, small barns, storage spaces, temporary offices, mobile homes, classrooms, garages, cabins and gazebos are all available as relocatable buildings.

Since relocatable buildings must be lightweight in order to easily move to multiple locations, they are made of materials like wood and vinyl, and often have sturdy steel frames. If necessary, they may be insulated and even contain heating systems. Every relocatable building has water tight seals to prevent any leaking. They must all guard against a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions, but buildings in which people or animals will inhabit tend to provide more protection from the elements. Every building has a door, and many have the option of windows, lighting and heating systems. Instead of a foundation, these buildings are often laid right on the ground or on top of concrete blocks, which provide leveling.
