A ball check valve is a type of valve in which the movable part is a spherical ball. Like all check valves, these mechanisms are carefully manufactured to prevent backflow that might otherwise produce cross-contamination, pressure surges or damaging flooding, all of which could cause system failure or decreased productivity.
