Laboratory countertops are constructed from a wide range of materials including epoxies, phenolic materials, stainless steel and even hard woods such as maple. Laboratory cabinets, often referred to as biosafety cabinets as well, can include a wide range of types for specific storage applications including acid storage, narcotic storage, flammable storage and specimen storage. In addition, many types of work stations are typically constructed as LAN stations. LAN stations, which are local area network stations, provide access to computer networks that are beneficial in the recording of the various data received during the process of scientific research, testing and data collecting within the laboratory.
