Wafer Check Valve
A wafer check valve is less bulky than other types of check valves, being made to fit between a set of flanges.
A wafer check valve is used in boiler feedlines, hot water circuits, vacuum breakers, steam traps, blowdown vessels, and flash vessels.
A wafer check valve may be a swing-type, which uses a single hinged disk as its moving element, or a split disc type, which consists of a flat disc that is hinged in its center in order to collapse inward. This action allows fluid to move through and the valve to expand back into a flat disc shape to close.
