Vertical Broaching
Vertical broaching is when a hydraulic cutting tool used to cut holes in metal, wood, and plastic materials. There are two different kinds of vertical broaching: internal broaches, which are used to cut through the material, and external broaches, which are used on the material's surface.
A broach, a tool that contains a series of successively larger teeth, is used to cut through a part being produced. Broaching teeth come in many different sizes; the teeth themselves may be spaced apart by varying distances depending on the part that is being broached.
Vertical broaching offers many advantages, such as a high productivity rate, economical and efficient operation, accuracy, close tolerances, versatility, and smooth finishes. Vertical broaching machines are used to create surface finishes in various industries, including the aerospace, automotive, and electrical sectors.
