Tool Rebuilders
Tool rebuilders provide manufacturers with an alternative to pricey machine replacement. When production levels begin to wane or machinery fails altogether, tool rebuilders can repair the old machine for less money than a company would spend on a new machine. In fact, manufacturers can usually afford to have two or more machines rebuilt for the price of buying one new machine. Tool rebuilders also save time, as they usually have a shorter lead time than buying new.
In addition to the economical savings that a manufacturer gains from rebuilding, rebuilding is desirable for other reasons as well. For example, a rebuilt tool comes back in a new-like state, but unlike brand new units, it is already set up for the applications that the manufacturer desires. Since it is essentially the same machine with which workers are already comfortable, employees do not require new training.
When a tool is ready to be rebuilt, tool rebuilders will send field workers to pick up and disassemble the tool. All components of the machine will be checked, cleaned, and replaced, if necessary. When rebuilding, tool rebuilders can also integrate new technology into the old machine in order to bring it up to current industry standards. Once all of these steps have been completed, tool rebuilders deliver the rebuilt machine back to its owner.
