Telescopic Cylinders
Telescopic cylinders have multiple piston rods, which allows for greater extension and the ability to achieve longer strokes without monopolizing more space. As telescopic cylinders extend far beyond the limits of regular hydraulic cylinders without requiring more area, they are often used in jobs where severe space limitations exist. Telescopic cylinders are often utilized in agriculture, construction, and manufacturing industries.
Telescopic cylinders come in single- and double-action designs. The single-action cylinder is configured to move in only one direction, meaning it can either push or pull, but not both. A double-action telescopic cylinder, however, is pressurized so that it can move in both directions. Double-action cylinders have an extremely complicated construction and have to be manufactured according to precise proportions. For this reason, they are usually custom-ordered.
