Steel Buildings
Prefabricated steel buildings are used for a wide range of purposes, including use as storage buildings, garages, and temporary shelters, as well as for recreation. Steel buildings are durable, reliable, and strong. Prefabricated steel buildings are also very convenient, as they are fully manufactured in a factory and then shipped to a site either fully or partially assembled.
Prefabricated steel buildings came into widespread use during the Second World War, when the United States Navy needed a lightweight, all-purpose building that could be assembled without skilled labor. They chose the Quonset hut, a prefabricated building with a semi-circular cross-section, constructed of corrugated steel.
