Medical Stampings

Medical stamping is a metal working process used to make instruments and other products for use in the medical field. Because of the sterility required by the medical field, these products are manufactured under special conditions to ensure that hygienic needs are met.

The die is a press tool for cutting or forming material in a stamping machine. Dies and punches work together in stamping presses; the punch pushes the sheet metal through the die. Metal Stamping is efficient, economical, and offers a wide range of durable shapes and components. Many different kinds of metal can be used, including aluminum, zinc, steel, bronze, copper, and nickel. The sheet metal must be heated and made malleable before it can be stamped. Several stamping techniques can be combined to produce complex metal components.
