Equipment Repair

There are many different types of equipment that can benefit from the multitude of the services typically provided by machinery rebuilders. Some common examples of equipment repair services required in the industrial manufacturing industry include tool repair, pump repair and press repair. Due to the wide-ranging capabilities of many equipment repair service companies, these services are crucial in a vast amount of applications and industries including: medical, for equipment such as infusion pumps, syringe pumps, ambulatory pumps and enteral pumps are used in devices such as defibrillators, ventilators, IV equipment and more; industrial, for the repair of equipment such as hydraulic presses, C-frame presses and more that are vital to many manufacturing applications such as metal stampings; aerospace, for use in equipment repair for fly-by-wire aircraft and missile control applications; and automotive, which utilizes equipment such as pumps and presses in auto parts such as hubs, fenders, fuel injection systems and various body parts.

Equipment repair is a vital service that varies greatly depending upon the type of equipment that requires repair. Three of the more common types of equipment requiring repair are presses, pumps and ball screws. Although there are diverse press types, the most common of which in industrial settings are stamping presses and forging presses. Stamping presses are defined as devices that are designed and built to operate one or multiple progressive stamping dies and other types of dies as well. Forging presses, alternatively, are defined as devices that are typically hydraulically-powered, and are a type of metal forming machinery that force metal blocks to take the shape of a product by means of a mold, extreme force and pressure, and sometimes heat. In terms of pump repair, the common types include either a vertically suspended (VS) pump or a horizontal pump. A VS pump is designed in a manner in which the pumping element is submerged within the pumpage itself. A horizontal pump, on the other hand, is designed in a manner in which the pump operates upon a horizontal plane. Lastly, for ball screw repair, the screws themselves are defined as device that is used to convert rotational motion into linear motion by means of a nut that runs up and down a screw by ways of ball bearings that allow travel in helical grooves. However, these devices are just come of the many types of equipment repaired by machinery rebuilders.
