Laser Marking Equipment
Laser marking is a process that creates marks on uncoated surfaces by removing material or by producing a color change through thermal effects. Laser marking equipment is used for non-erasable printing, as the object itself is permanently modified.
Laser marking equipment is capable of creating extremely clear, detailed marks, with spot diameters as tiny as 0.003 inch. This type of marking is often used to mark and identify automotive parts, screws, nails, nuts, bolts, automotive parts, and tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers.
Laser engraving, a form of laser marking, is often used in advertising. Through this process, graphics and company logos can be engraved on a wide range of materials, including metals, plastics, glass, wood, and leather. Laser engraving can be applied to any flat or slightly curved surface, or to a cylindrical surface with the use of rotational jigs or clamping.
Laser marking is fast, easily automated, and requires minimal amounts of maintenance. Laser marking equipment is also environmentally friendly, since it no paints, inks, or solvents are used during the process.
