In the first stage of the vacuum forming process a plastic sheet is placed into a frame which is inside of a vacuum chamber. The chamber is heated and the frame lowered to be draped over a mold which then air is pumped out of the chamber so the plastic can adhere to the mold. The plastic is then cooled and removed from the mold.
