Hydraulic Check Valves
Hydraulic check valves are automatic mechanical devices that allow hydraulic fluid to flow in one direction and prevent flow reversal. They have two openings: an inlet in which the fluid enters and an outlet through which the fluid exits. Because check valves operate automatically, they do not have manual switches or handles that activate the device.
Hydraulic check valves work in conjunction with hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and motors. Hydraulic check valves are used in applications that require hydraulic pumps, such as automotive braking systems and construction tools and vehicles.
Hydraulic check valves are available in several designs: swinging disc, ball, plunger, and poppet. The size and shape of a check valve can vary greatly, depending on its application.
