Soucy Baron has since diversified to become a leader in the design, testing and fabrication of highly complex engineered molded elastomeric components. In addition to designing and producing products to custom specifications, we accelerate time to production through design, simulation and FEA analysis of the design before testing of actual prototypes. Our technical expertise in materials engineering includes a library of over 900 recipes. We can also provide customized in-house formula development to produce high-performance compounds for specific component needs. Noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) is one of our specialties along with rubber-to-metal bonding. We carefully assess the best design and rubber formulation for mitigating vibration. Our facilities use streamlined processes for compression, transfer and injection molding. Our mold designs focus on eliminating secondary operations such as tear trimming and de-flashing where feasible.We work with an extensive range of natural and engineered synthetic elastomers in the 30 to 90 durometer range. Examples include everything from general-purpose compounds to durable high-performance rubbers specially designed to meet specific physical and mechanical properties. We test all incoming materials, perform dimensional and specification compliance checks on finished products, and operate a metrology lab with a wide range of physical performance test capabilities.
