Flat Belts
Flat belts are linear belts, constructed in a flat line for use in conveyor systems. A flat belt can be embossed, homogeneous, or reinforced, depending on its application. Edge choices for a flat belt include c-cure, double loop, and single loop. There are also several features of a flat belt that can be customized. For example, a flat belt could incorporate cleats, lamination, perforations, profiles, or sidewalls.
While flat belts are widely used throughout many industries, the most typical uses for flat belts include in the food industry and for general conveying purposes. The flat, openness of the belt lends to effectiveness for coating, cooling, draining, drying and heating. Materials from which flat belts are constructed include FDA/USDA compounds, nylon, plastic, PVC, rubber, Teflon, silicone, thermoplastic and urethane.
