Endless Belting
Endless belts, also referred to as round belts, o-ring belts or endless drive
belts, are continuous belts made from materials similar to that of o-rings.
They are called endless belts because they have no splice or seam. Endless
round belts come in woven and non-woven varieties.
European-style knitted endless belts are available in Neoprene, Polyurethane
(urethane), and Silicone. With antistatic properties, Neoprene endless belts
are very flexible and are perfect for fast, strong drives. Urethane endless
round belts are elastomeric, which means they do not require a belt tensioner
and are designed to stretch. Silicone endless belts can be used in wet or dry
environments in addition to extreme temperatures.
Endless belts typically have a considerably longer life expectancy than twisted
connectable belts. Examples for application uses of endless belts include power
transmission applications and live roller conveyors, which encompasses lineshaft
conveyors and powered roller conveyors.
