Drying Ovens
Drying ovens, sometimes referred to as dryers, are used for the removal of moisture from water-based coatings and adhesives or from the surface or interior of certain products. Different types of drying ovens are used for different base materials, like wood, metals, and extruded rubber.
Drying ovens often use variable speed, minimal-contact conveyors to transport products through the oven. However, walk-in, truck-in, cabinet and bench batch ovens are also sometimes used.
Some drying ovens use airtight vessels to create a vacuum or controlled pressure environment. These ovens are often used to dry items at a lower temperature than would otherwise be used, and are therefore often used in laboratories dealing with heat-sensitive materials.
