As the name implies, a water pump is designed to be used in commercial, industrial, residential and wastewater applications of water transfer. Centrifugal water pumps use an electric motor in order to drive a hard plastic or metal rotor.

Water Pumps
Water pumps may be self-priming or non-self-priming, meaning that they need to be submerged to work. In general, centrifugal water pumps are inexpensive and easy to maintain, operate, and repair.
Depending on the particular application, lightweight, general purpose, multipurpose and high-pressure water pumps are generally available. Well pumps, sump pumps, and pressure tanks are some of the many types of water pumps. All water pumps, however, are responsible for moving water in one way or another.
