Industry Information

Sump Pumps

Sump pumps are often used to pump water out of sump pits. A sump pit, commonly found in the home basement, is simply a hole dug in the ground to collect water. The water may enter via perimeter drains funneling into the pit, or may arrive from natural ground water in the earth.

Variations of sump pump models include pedestal (upright) and submersible. When installing a sump pump, a sump tank, drain system and discharge pipe will also be needed to host the pump. Besides residential purposes, sump pumps are readily used in industries such as automotive, aircraft, auxiliary, OEM, processing, recycling, wastewater and slurry treatment and transfer, waste processing, plumbing, and more.
